The Napoleonic parures are still popular

In almost every royal family there are parures made
like the big garnitures of the first French Empire.
Royal jewels were made in this style from 1800 till
around 1860. On state occasions they are often worn
because they are so impressive and splendid. And in
a way they are very classical. One this is sure: they
did glorify the royal ladies then and they still do!
